Description:

The Veil Nebula Complex - This is the remnants of a star that exploded 10,000 - 20,000 years ago. It is located in the constellation Cygnus roughly 2,400 light-years from Earth. I captured the nebula using Ha and Oiii filters, and the stars using RGB filters. This photo contains roughly 25.5 hours of total integration time. It is processed in a HOO palette using channel combination techniques by The Coldest Nights and star reduction methods by Bill Blanshan.
