Description:
This is a narrow-field view of the Rho Ophiuchi Complex. The triple star, Rho Ophiuchi, top center (IC4604), illuminates the blue reflection nebula, extending out of the field of view, at the top of the image. The image shows the core region of the complex, centered around reflection nebula IC 4603, just below the “pitch fork”.
