Description:

The data on this recently re-edited image of the Rosette Nebula, was taken from my backyard in Wisconsin, in bortle 5 skies. This nebula is a massive stellar nursery about 5,200 light-years away in the constellation Monoceros. Spanning over 130 light-years wide, it’s home to young, energetic stars whose radiation lights up the surrounding gas, creating its iconic glow. I edited this image in PixInsight and Lightroom.
