Description:
An object often photographed is the Rosette Nebula, a region full of ionized hydrogen. Inside the Rosetta Nebula sits the 5 million year-old open cluster NGC 2244. The cluster and the nebula are around 130 light years in diameter and roughly 5200 light years from earth.
