Description:

This image shows the Rosette Nebula (NGC 2237) using a 92mm refractor and a thermoelectrically cooled ATIK 460EX monochrome camera coupled to a filter wheel containing 3nm H-a and 3nm O-III narrowband filters. I captured this image from my bright sky observing site over a period of 100 minutes. I used the H-a data as Luminance and as a red layer; also I used the O-III data as a green layer and as a blue layer to create this LRGB image.
