Description:

Sometimes, I feel like doing something simple but, in the end, I always end up complicating my life. The Rosette Nebula is a great classic of the winter sky and you can see many versions in narrow band with a lot of signal. I wanted to do something different and I shot it entirely in broad band, even if from a city sky. I don't mind the final result at all, even though there isn't a lot of signal, and I hope you like it too. The Rosette Nebula (also known as NGC 2237 or C 49) is a large emission region located in the constellation Unicorn. At the center of the nebula is a bright open cluster, known as NGC 2244, whose blue stars emit ultraviolet radiation that excites the gas in the nebula to emit light.
