Description:

This image shows the Seagull Nebula (NGC 2327 and Sh2-236) using a 92mm refractor and a thermoelectrically cooled ATIK 460EX monochrome camera coupled to a filter wheel containing 3nm H-a and 3nm O-III narrowband filters. I recorded 15 minute subframes with each of the narrowband filters. Because of the seagull's large width I captured the left and right sides of the nebula separately and merged them together to form a mosaic.
