Description:

This is SH2-308, in Canis Major, sometimes called the Dolphin Nebula, a large cosmic bubble blown from a huge Wolf-Rayet star in the center of the dolphin which is likely to go supernova in the future. The star has ejected material which creates the very faint ionized oxygen blue green bubble.
