Description:

The supernova remnant from AD 1006 in the constellation Lupus features a brighter filament along its northwestern edge. However, the structure remains extremely faint in standard RGB images. Only long-exposure Hα filtering reveals the weak shock front and the surrounding glowing gases. CDK14 on 10 Micron 2000HPS QHY 268M with Baader filters R:G:B:Ha 32:29:32:149 x 600s
