Description:

Around Valentine´s day the sun was pretty active again - and three consecutive lunch breaks allowed my to collect three nice Calium-light views on our nearest star. The violet hue is artificial, in fact the filter´s central wavelength of 393 nm is at the very edge of human vision, some may see blue, others might prefer to call it violet. But no visual impression matches the contrast of a simple CMOS camera, most observers do not have a physiological chance to see true CaK details.
