Equipment:

Canon 50D with 28-300mm lens. Photo was taken at 28mm, 30s exposure at f/3.5, ISO 2000.

Description:

I was trying to capture a Perseid on camera when I got this photo. The light pollution dome from Las Vegas, as well as the iconic Luxor Skybeam, are visible just below the Milky Way. It was visually similar to Mesquite's light dome due to proximity.
