97.7 % illuminated waxing gibbous moonrise over Upper West Manhattan. In fact, the august Sturgeon moon is the final supermoon of this summer. In India, it is also known as Rakhshabandhan Moon. It's a beautiful festival celebration between brothers and sisters. On this day sisters tie a thread around their brother's wrists. It's a bond of protection and love. The festival falls on Purnima which is known as full moon day in India.
