This Supermoon was the 3rd in a row in 2025, and another one is in January 2026 to make it 4 in row! A supermoon occurs when the moon's orbit passes near or closest to the Earth at the same time as a full moon. The moon can "appear" up to 14% larger and 30% brighter.
