The image was produced by combining 7.25 hours of exposures from two different dual narrowband filters, one which collects light from ionized sulfur & oxygen (ASKAR D2) and one which collects light from ionized hydrogen & oxygen (Antlia ALP-T) , using the ASI2600MC camera & the AT115EDT telescope.

Description:

This is the Swan Nebula in Sagittarius (M17), an emissions nebula in a region of active star formation that is prominent in the southern summer sky in North America.
