Description:

The bug nebula, also known as the butterfly nebula, and formally as NGC6302, is located in the constellation the scorpion. It shines at magnitude 7.1, measures about 3' in size and it is 3,400 light years away. Information provided by wikipedia. The image was live stacked in Sharpcap, for a total of 643", and light curves and background adjusted with adobe elements.
