SBIG STT 8300M, Planewave CDK14, Paramount MEII, Astrodon NB Filters 5,3,3

Description:

M17, AKA the Swan, the Omega, the Horseshoe, and even the Barber-pole has many names. There is a great range in brightness so it will appear very different depending on the equipment used to view it or photograph it. It is the center "barber pole" structure I was most interested in which becomes the central ridge in my version. 29.5 hours of data using SII, Ha, and OIII filters.
