This is the Diamond Ring. The image is inverted for maximum "ring" effect, with the diamond on top. This photo was taken from Erie, Pennsylvania, on April 8th, 2024, almost directly in the middle of the path of totality. We woke up to cloud soup and rain, but everything was sliding East. By the time the eclipse started l, clouds were intermittent. We watched and clicked away when we could. It was truly an unforgettable experience.
