Description:

As the Moon eclipses the last part of the Sun, a small point of light is illuminated around the Moon’s disk, causing it to look like a diamond ring. The faint pink wisps around the right edges of the Moon’s disk are solar prominences that often extend over 10 Earth diameters into space.
