Description:

The Eastern Veil Nebula (NGC 6992) is one of the brightest and most intricate sections of the Veil Supernova Remnant in the constellation Cygnus. These delicate filaments are the expanding shock waves from a massive star that exploded thousands of years ago, interacting with the surrounding interstellar medium. This image was captured with a Sky-Watcher Evostar 72ED refractor and a QHY183M monochrome camera using Hydrogen-alpha (Hα), Sulfur II (SII), and Oxygen III (OIII) narrowband filters. The data were processed in the Hubble Palette (HSO) to emphasize the complex structure and contrast between the different ionized gases, revealing the intricate details of this remarkable supernova remnant. Thank you for taking the time to view my image. Clear skies!
