Description:

This is IC 5068 (also known as Forsaken Nebula), a low emission nebula neglected because it is located near the very photogenic North America and Pelican nebulae. The nebula is situated very close to the massive and bright star, known as Deneb, and it is best known for the streaks of dark clouds that separate the gas-colored regions, which also separate the nebula from its better-known neighbors (all located 1600 light-years away in the constellation Cygnus).
