Equipment:

Takahashi Epsilon 180ED astrograph with an SBIG STL-11000M CCD camera equipped with an Astrodon Hydrogen-alpha filter on an Astro-Physics 900 GTO German equatorial mount.

Description:

This is a 4-frame mosaic of the Orion area, including the famous Horse Head Nebula (B 33), the Orion Nebula M 42), as well as the Flame Nebula (NGC 2024). A special narrow band Hydrogen-alpha filter was used to create this panoramic view. This image really needs to be displayed at a larger image scale to really show off the fascinating structure. I have included a direct link to the image on my website thank you darrell crofford http://www.galaxies.com/darrellccd.aspx?photoid=81
