Description:

!! Moderator - I just submitted this a few minutes ago with the wrong image file attached. The image was of M31 and will not match the info in the submission. Please use this submission. So Sorry for my error!! Exposure: 180 subs at 180 sec each (6 hrs 30 min total). The Heart & Soul Nebulae are two large emission nebulae in the constellation Cassiopeia. They are regions with active star formation and the associated star clusters contain massive young stars that power the ionization of the gas. I think the Soul Nebula (also called the Embryo Nebula) looks like a stampeding buffalo. Of course, I live near Buffalo, NY so I may be a little biased.
