Description:

Shortly after sunset on May 18, 2026, the 7% waxing crescent moon and Venus were separated by only two degrees. This star trail image shows the duo setting in the northwestern sky from Lancaster, PA. The image was made of 506 eight second exposures taken with a Canon R6 mark II and a Canon 50 mm f/1.4 lens (ISO 200, f/5.6)
