Orion 8” 1600mm f/8 Ritchey Chretien telescope, QHY533C camera with the Optolong L-eXtreme filter, QHY 5II guide camera, and Orion Atlas EQ-G hypertuned mount

Description:

This is 5.55 hours (3 minute subs) of NGC 6543, the “Cat’s Eye Nebula”. I specifically was going for the outer core as the inner part is 1,000 times brighter. The outer core has dimensions of 20” x 16” arc-minutes. I cropped the image to focus on the nebula. I used the Optolong L-eXtreme filter with the waxing Gibbous moon at 84.9%.
