Description:

The pinwheel galaxy (m 101) is a large , face on spiral galaxy in the constellation Ursa Major. It is about 25 million light- years away. It is known for its prominent, asymmetrical spiral arms filled with bright star-forming regions. It's twice the size of the Milkey Way Galaxy containing a trillion stars.
