Description:
The Rosette Nebula is a vast emission nebula, whose shape vaguely resembles that of a rose. It lies within the constellation Monoceros (the Unicorn), approximately 5,000 light-years from Earth. This image was captured during the testing of a new imaging setup, under the light-polluted skies of Casalgrande, in the Po Valley, and was obtained with only 85 minutes of total integration time.
