Description:
This image of the Milky Way shows several features of the night sky. The brightest part of the image is the Galactic Core, which looks to black hole at the center of our galaxy. The set of colorful stars to the right of the Galactic Core is known as Rho Ophiuchi. Nebulae such as the Lagoon Nebula and Trifid Nebula are also visible as small specks in the Galactic Core. It is hard to believe that such a stunning view is above us when seen from dark skies.
