Description:
The images for this composite were taken from the backyard of a friend who lives in the north west side of Austin, TX. Most of the period between first and second contact we had broken clouds, allowing frequent views of the first partial phase. About 10 minutes before second contact, the clouds parted, giving us uninterrupted views of the totality. But just 5 minutes after third contact, the clouds built back in, pretty well obscuring the remainder of the second partial phase.
