This image was taken at Blackstrap Provincial park in Saskatchewan, besides a completely frozen lake in -10 degrees C.

Celestron Edge HD 8", .7x Focal reducer, Nikon D5200 (unmodified), AVX mount, PHD guiding. 24 subs @ 4 minutes each @ ISO 1000

Description:

This image was taken on January 2nd, 2015 at Blackstrap Provincial park in Saskatchewan, besides a completely frozen lake in -10 degrees Celsius. It took 6-7 hours from setting the telescope to processing the final image. This is the Triangulum Galaxy (M33). So beautiful ! Triangulum Galaxy is a spiral galaxy which is 3 million light years away from Earth. The image was taken using a DSLR camera and a 8" Celestron Edge HD telescope.
