Description:

We were very lucky to observe and image the rare and historic 2012 Transit of Venus in Quezon City, the Philippines. It was raining the previous evening and the sky was almost completely overcast until the time of the transit when the clouds thinned a bit allowing us to view 1st and 2nd contacts at my location. I took both white light and H-alpha images intermittently thru the clouds but unfortunately it rained again during the 3rd and 4th contacts and I had to abandon my imaging attempts. Nevertheless,I was still very happy that I got to observe and image the two Venus Transits of this century!
