Description:
After the auroral activity quieted down around 1:00 AM, I pointed my camera at Polaris and set it up to do star trails and capture any more activity. I checked my telescope's progress imaging M101 and went to bed about 1:30 AM. I regret not staying up as activity erupted about 10 minutes later. This is a 5 s exposure at ISO 1250 and is part of a time lapse that can be viewed at the website link below.
