A 2.8° x 2.8° widefield view of those iconic wonders in the winter sky, located in the constellation of Orion, the Hunter : The Flame Nebula (NGC2024) on the left, and the Horsehead Nebula (IC434 or B33), a dark, silhouetted gas structure in front of glowing hydrogen next to the star Alnitak (mag. +1.77).
