Upcoming Astronomy Events

As a service to our community, Sky & Telescope lists astronomy-related events, including star parties, observatory public nights, astronomy talks, and more. Star parties offer dark skies and astronomical fellowship and often cater to families and feature special activities for kids. Public nights give the general public a chance to view the sky through large telescopes, and public talks are a great place to learn the fundamentals of the science and the craft.

Planets in the Park

An evening of stargazing and planet watching at Clifton Park
Friends of Clifton Park, along with Mexborough & Swinton Astronomical Society invite you to Planets in the Park:

Date: Saturday 28th February 2026 Time: 6pm-8:30pm

Where: Clifton Park Garden House and Courtyard. S65 2AA

Free event with no booking required. (You can attend without a ticket!)

Come along and view the night sky as never before, suitable for all ages, presentations and displays will compliment the observing of the nigh sky. If you have a telescope and require advice please bring it along.

Please wrap up warm for the evening, refreshments will be available for a small charge.
