Roger
Began studying astronomy and the sky at 8 years old (1968). Bought first telescope at 11 years old in 1971 (Edmund Scientific Company's Space Conqueror 3" reflector); bought second telescope at age 13 in 1973 (Criterion RV-6 DynaScope reflector); and bought current telescope at age 57 in 2017 (Orion Skyquest XT12g Dobsonian reflector). Began astrophotography in 2010 using my DynaScope. Retired from the California Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation in 2017 after 33 years of service. Since retirement, I have been spending quality time under the stars (don't have to worry about waking up early mornings). Astronomy has always been my passion from a young age.
