Since the age of 11 my great passion has been astronomy, and I am the founder and Honorary President of the South East Kent Astronomical Society in the UK. My focus these days is on solar observation and imaging, and I have a dedicated run-off-roof observatory which houses a Lunt LS152THA on an EQ6 mount. Photography is carried out with a ZWO ASI290MM and an Altair Hypercam 174M mono camera. After down sizing I now just have a Sky-Watcher Skymax 150 Maksutov and a William Optics Redcat 51 for the odd planetary and wide field deep sky astrophotography. Finally, for visual observations I have an equatorially mounted Meade 16" Starfinder Newtonian reflector.
