The China Lake Astronomical Society was formed in 1958 by a group of amateur astronomers at the Naval Ordnance Test Station in China Lake. Now comprised of about 75 members, we hold monthly meetings and public star parties and present shows for schools, scout troops, and civic groups. We also have field trips to places of astronomical interest.
