Description:

A rare sight of 5 bright planets lined up with the Crescent Moon on the wee hours of Bahrain sky on Friday the 25th of June. Throughout June, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn have lined up from left to right, in their orbital order from the sun, before dawn in the southeastern sky. It was an amazing sight like a string of pearls spread out from close to the horizon. The atmosphere in Bahrain 'luckily' was not the usual hazy and so the planets were seen clearly with the naked eyes. Venus and Jupiter were very bright. Saturn was identifiable easily. Mars was orangish. The Crescent Moon disc illumination was 14%. Mercury was the most difficult planet to observe and was very difficult to capture. This capture was made possible only by using the ‘fish-eye’ lens so that the vast expanse of the sky can be covered especially to include Saturn which was located farther.
