Description:
I usually seem to shoot the Pelican and neighboring North American Nebulae together, but my new 14" EdgeHD at f/2 with Hyperstar frames the Pelican beautifully in solo. This is a portrait of the Pelican (NGC7822) with 31 frames of 5-mins each (2.5 hours) collected over 2 nights the first week of Sept 2022. I used a ZWO 6200mc one-shot-color camera with an Optolong L-Pro filter to counter a 1/4 Moon. Aligned and stacked in Pixinsight. Stars removed with StarXTerminator to process the nebula separately, then added back in. NoiseXTerminator used to reduce noise when all said and done.
