Today's forecast from SpaceWeather.com: "SUNSPOT DOUBLES IN SIZE: Northern sunspot AR2804 has doubled in size since yesterday. It is now an easy target for backyard solar telescopes and a growing threat for Earth-directed solar flares." As seen from our deck at 3 pm this afternoon, SunSpot AR2804 (red arrow) is indeed prominent. Tech details: Stack of 430 1/50th sec exposures at ISO 100 through a Canon Eos 650D with 300 mm F5.6 lens. Processing with Lynkeos and Pixinsight software on a MacBook Pro.
