Description:

By now, the Cat's Paw is not visible from Carbondale, in part due to trees and homes obstructing it from view. It is low by the time it is sufficiently dark to begin imaging. The Cat's Paw is in the constellation Scorpiuos, near its tail low in the south horizon. According to public information and Wikipedia, NGC6334, is 4,400 light years away and measures about 40' at its widest. It was imaged for 2,148' live stacked in Sharpcap and light curves and background adjusted using adobe elements.
