Description:

In these images Comet 193P/LINEAR-NEAT was magnitude 16.3, had a 0.004 degree wide coma, the tail was at least 0.05 degrees long at a position angle of 238 degrees from the coma and the comet was 124 million miles from Earth. The comet is at perihelion in it's 6.77 year orbit in August 2021 when it is 201 million miles from the Sun. The comet makes it's close approach to Earth in September 2021 at 108 million miles when it may brighten to magnitude 16.
