Comet 37P/Forbes was magnitude 14.9 and 145 million miles from Earth in this image. It has a tail to the upper right of the coma in this image. The comet is low in the southeast during morning twilight and slowly fades in this GIF from image to image as the twilight brightens. 37P will be at perihelion on May 4 on its 6.43 year orbit when it will be 149 million miles from the Sun. 37P may reach magnitude 13.5 this summer and will pass 90 million miles from the Earth August 18.
