Description:
Comet C/2022 E3 ZTF taken on the night of January 28-29, 2023 from Capanne di Sillano. The desire to go outside to photograph the comet was strong and so a hunt for clear and dark skies began. It eventually ended just over the ridge of the Apennines in Tuscany, where there was a lot of snow and ice and a nice temperature of about 5-6 degrees below zero. A strong wind was also present and its contribution can be seen (stars are nice baloons...). However, this is the result of just over an hour of exposure. The photo was processed separating the stars, in order to compensate for the comet's motion, which is very pronounced even at short focal lengths.
