Description:
Last night's conjunction between Venus (upper right) and Mercury. The closest in to the sun planets were even closer and more spectacular in real time, right after sunset in the Western sky where the sun sets. Image is through a 72 mm refracting telescope with a ZWO color camera. Yellow tinge to the planets is real -- combination of the setting sun, and smoke from a controlled Cal Fire burn in our Julian neighborhood.
