Description:
A small group observed the eclipse from Ah Chong island, a 59 acre uninhabited islet in the Montebello group where the UK conducted 1950s nuclear tests and is now a conservation park. As a hybrid eclipse the inner corona was well presented and the Sun's activity resulted in several visible flares including one bright C-class. This image is a detailed white light image derived from a stack of 27 images captured during the 62 second totality. The flare and chromosphere of this eclipse was beautiful and intense.
