Description:

This closeup shot of IC 410 highlights the heart and the tadpoles of this spectacular nebula. Narrowband filters were used with the Hubble processing palette (SHO) to reveal the drama in this mass of cosmic gas and dust. The long focal length (2850 mm) provides a narrow field of view of 30 x 20 arc minutes, not quite encompassing the entire Tadpole nebula. 22 hours of total exposures from 20-minute individual subs.
