Photo taken with Questar Q3.5 and a Nikon D810 on iOptron Alt Az mount
For this eclipse I experimented with long deep exposures to bring up more color. This photo is a 20 second long ISO 1250 exposure that amplifies the various colors of the partial phase of the eclipse. The colors transition from deep red, to light red, then a magenta transition zone,to deep blue, blue, and then turquoise, and finally the remnant illuminated portion of the moon. The banding pattern shows a wide range of colors as the gradient of the Earth's shadow projects across the moon. It was hazy cloudy in Tucson and the haze picked up the blue glow from the moon.
