Description:

This is a wide field view of the region capturing M11 (the wild ducks cluster) and to its left the globular cluster NGC6712, and above 6712 is the planetary nebula IC1295. The image was stacked live on sharpcap using a zwo 294 mc camera. No specialty software was used to process the raw images. Only a simple color and blackness adjustment was made with elements adobe photoshop. M11 is about 6,120 LY away and measures 23' in diameter with a magnitude of 5.8; NGC6712 is much farther out (26,400 LY) with a magnitude of 8.7 and 7.2' in apparent size. Finally the planetary ic1295 is just 1.4' in diameter and 4,700 LY away. It shines with a magnitude of 12.7
