Equipment:

127 triplet refractor (Ex-Scie), zwo533mc camera and ioptron goto mount.

Description:

As with the M16 and M8, this image was taken with less than 12 minutes of exposure and stacked live in sharpcap. Gain 220, 8 seconds exposures. The Trifid always plays second fiddle to the Lagoon. But it is an amazing nebula with so many features. Dark clouds of dust and ice, a central nebula and a companion reflection nebula. I do not process in pixinsight or any other software. I only use adobe elements and the image cleaning software that comes with MS. Clear skies to all.
