Description:
On 14 July, 2022, comet C2017 K2 PanSTARRS was at conjunction with Messier 10. The moon was nearly full. Fifteen 240 second guided frames taken at 240 gain and -10°C were stacked both by aligning the stars and then by aligning the comet using Deep Sky Stacker. The images were recombined using GIMP so that the resulting comet shows no movement over the hour plus time the subframes were taken.
